2020 OHPC boys hockey programs

2020 U17 BOYS PROGRAM - 2003, 2004, 2005

We are excited to announce some changes to the OHPC program from past years.

  • The 2020 U17 Boys Ontario Hockey Prospects Cup Showcase will take place once again at the Woodstock and District Community Complex on Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th, 2020.
  •  Do to scheduling conflicts in past years all games were played on the smaller ice surface. For  2020 all games will be played on the large Olympic size ice surface. The 2200 seat capacity ice pad will suit parents and spectators with comfortable seating and unblocked viewing.
  • Players will be carefully selected to one of eight teams based on age, position and skill level.
  • The OHPC Fitness Combine will take place in the adjoining gymnasium just to the left inside the main area of the complex
  • We have eliminated round robin play and a gold medal game. The purpose of the program is not to award a winning team as much as for participants to display their craft in front of Ontario Junior Hockey Scouts, to test their abilities among there peers, and to get an extra skate in prior to Spring camps. All teams will play 4 games throughout the weekend.
  • Due to the increased attendance from Ontario Junior Hockey teams scouting the program in 2019 we have increased our Scout/Player interview rooms from 3 to 10
  • The OHPC program has continued to grow from 89 participants in the inaugural year of 2017 to 144 participants in 2019.  Participants have attended from across Ontario and into the northern parts of the United States. We are proud to display our programs player alumni list under the alumni heading and look forward to adding more in the 2020 season.
  • The OHPC has continued to strive to bring future junior hockey players and junior hockey execs together in one building for one great weekend each Spring.
  • Players registering for the 2020 U17 Boys OHPC will register individually. Teams will not be accepted.
  • * 6 teams
  • *4 games to each team
  • *OHPC Fitness Combine
  • *Friday night Meet and greet with Ontario Junior Hockey speakers
  • *OHPC Player contact information scouting packages will be provided to the Ontario Junior hockey teams scouting the OHPC.
  • Sport Fitness and Nutrition Seminar with Pat Hovorka.
